Everything is rolling along smoothly. At his weighing last night, Clayton was 3 lb. 5.4 oz. Because the antibiotics finished up at 1 AM on Friday morning, Clayton had a CT scan this morning to check for meningitis. The Women's & Children's Pavilion doesn't have a CT scanner so we had to go to the main building. The nurse moved him into a transport incubator for the trip. We had to get a security guard to escort us (apparently Clayton is cute enough for someone to want to steal). The CT machine was a normal scanner for adults so you can imagine how Clayton looked in it. The tech started to put an apron on him, but then decided to use the neck cover (for adults--to protect the thyroid). It was a perfect size for his body :) As expected, the results were normal.
We lost another cord today! Because of his weight and age, the incubator was turned to room air today. That means we lost a temp probe cord (to measure his skin temp). The nurses put a shirt on him (it's a size 6 month shirt--it's HUGE) and swaddled him in blankets. I'm excited to be able to dress him now.
